Digital Audio Denmark has announced the addition of audio-over-IP connectivity, with AES67 and RAVENNA capabilities, to its Thunder | Core, Penta series and AX32 audio interfaces. The connectivity is enabled by the ST 2110-30-RAVENNA card, providing compatibility with IP-based Ethernet audio formats for broadcast installations and applications.
The interfaces support analogue-to-digital and digital-to-analogue conversion, remote-controlled microphone preamplifiers, monitor control, routing, format conversion and sample-rate conversion.
The Thunder | Core, Penta series and AX32 feature optional expansion cards and modules, allowing their configurations to be adapted to different applications. The Thunder | Core and Penta audio interfaces provide digital and analogue input and output options, with signals available through an internal routing matrix supporting up to 1,872x1,872 non-blocking connections.
The number of channels available depends on the input and output configuration of the audio interface. A 64-channel bus summing system is also integrated into the matrix. Through the Pro | Mon functionality, the system provides summing and monitoring configurations for different workflows.
